Linden County Water District, (LCWD), is an independent public agency,
formed in 1951 to develop and administer the waste water facility and
later in 1975 took over the Linden Water Service. LCWD serves the needs
of approximately 569 water service connections and 529 active sewer connections
in the community of Linden, located approximately 12 miles east of Stockton.
All of the water supply for the District comes from five wells, which
produce water with an excellent quality.
The waste water is gravity fed to one centralized sewage lift station.
The lift station pumps the sewage approximately 1.5 miles to the Waste
Water Treatment Facility that consists of one aeration pond, stabilitization
pond and four evaporative/percolation ponds.
CWD is a member of the American Water Works Association, Water Environmental
Federation and the California Rural Water Association LCWD consists of
a 5 member elected Board, general manager, office manager and two field
staff.
